A 33-year old Prineville man who allegedly bid on jobs and dug wells in Central Oregon without a contractor’s license, and who also allegedly failed to complete two wells after receiving payment in advance was arrested Friday, police reported.
Daniel R. Davis’s license had been suspended by the Oregon Water Resources Board while he was actively bidding on jobs and digging wells throughout the area, said Crook County Sheriff’s Detective Sergeant Travis Jurgens.
In two known cases, Davis allegedly received payment upfront for two jobs which were not completed.
Davis was taken into custody and lodged in the Crook County Jail where he is charged with two counts of first-degree theft by deception, and three counts of contracting without a well constructors license.
Jurgens asks anyone who had a well dug by Davis within the past six months, or who contracted with Davis but did not have the work completed, to telephone him at the Prineville Police Department, 541.447.6398.
