Police are looking for two men – one brandishing a handgun -- who held up a Redmond motel early this morning then fled on foot.  Efforts to locate the suspects, including using a police dog in their search, were unsuccessful.

Shortly before 4 a.m. April 5, Redmond Police Officers and Deschutes County Sheriff’s deputies responded to The Hub Motel at 1128 NW 6th Street to a report of an armed robbery, Redmond Police Officer Nathan Garibay said.

Investigation revealed that two suspects were involved, and that one man had brandished a handgun, taking an undisclosed amount of cash.  The suspects fled on foot, said Garibay, and a search of the area by officers, deputies, and a police dog failed to locate them.

One suspect is described as an Hispanic male, about 30-years old, 5-foot 6-inches tall with a medium build.  He is said to have very short hair and a round face, and was wearing a blue sweatshirt and gray jogging pants.

The second suspect is only described as a male of unknown age, about 5-foot six-inches tall.

Anyone with information is encouraged to contact the Redmond Police Department at (541) 504-3400 or Deschutes County Dispatch at (541) 693-6911.
