Sheriff Asks Public’s Help to Locate Dangerous Sex Offender

The Deschutes County Sheriff’s Office has asked the public’s assistance to locate a convicted sex offender who absconded from Deschutes County Parole & Probation supervision on July 4th. David K. Hunter is considered to be very dangerous and residents are urged to call 911 if they see this predatory male, especially in the near vicinity of any male or female minors age 1 – 17. Hunter is on post-prison supervision until 5/22/2004 for Sexual Abuse I and Sexual penetration I, and is currently on probation for Prostitution until 4/25/08. He was living at a Transisitional House on Britta Road in Bend when he absconded.
