The Deschutes County Sheriff’s Office has asked the public’s assistance to locate a convicted sex offender who absconded from Deschutes County Parole & Probation supervision on July 4th.
David K. Hunter is considered to be very dangerous and residents are urged to call 911 if they see this predatory male, especially in the near vicinity of any male or female minors age 1 – 17.
Hunter is on post-prison supervision until 5/22/2004 for Sexual Abuse I and Sexual penetration I, and is currently on probation for Prostitution until 4/25/08. He was living at a Transisitional House on Britta Road in Bend when he absconded.

He is described as being 31 years old, 5’ 8” tall, 190 lbs with brown hair and brown eyes. He is known to befriend his victims, and develops a relationship with the victim and the victim’s family then begins to molest. He may frequent areas where children are present, or where pornography is sold.
