A relative who found a one-year-old child in the backyard swimming pool of a Sisters home Sunday afternoon after she wandered out the back door during a family gathering helped save her life by performing CPR, deputies reported.
Deschutes County Sheriff’s deputies and paramedics with the Sisters-Camp Sherman Fire Department responded to 15945 Pilot Drive shortly after 4:30 p.m. to a report of a possible drowning, Sgt. Dan Swearingen said.
When they arrived, the child was conscious and breathing, and was transported to St. Charles Medical Center in Bend for observation.
