SEOUL - Visiting Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao said in Seoul Tuesday his country and South Korea should maintain high-level exchanges for improving relations.
Wen, who arrived Tuesday on the first leg of his two-nation tour that will include Japan, also urged South Korean President Roh Moo-hyun that consultation and security dialogue on foreign policy be continuously carried out, the official Xinhua news agency reported.
The Chinese visitor said his country remains committed to denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula.
In his remarks, Roh expressed willingness to cooperate more with China and said his country welcomes China's economic development.
