PRINEVILLE, Oregon --A free clinic that focuses on the challenges and rewards of Mustang horse ownership is scheduled for May 4, 5, & 6 in Prineville. “Teaching & Achieving Mustang Excellence” (TAME) will feature professional horse trainers Clint Surplus and Matt Fournier.

The trainers will work with adopted wild horses on specific training issues, allowing spectators an opportunity to observe training solutions.

Various specialists will be on hand to answer questions on equine health, nutrition, hoof care, teeth, massage, chiropractics, and tack. A BLM Wild Horse & Burro Program Manager will answer questions about the process of adopting wild horses and volunteers will share information on how to build lifelong relationships with these Living Legends.

Previously adopted Mustangs will demonstrate the level of success a wild horse can achieve through proper training.

This free clinic will be held at the Crook County Fairgrounds Indoor Arena from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Friday & Saturday, and from 8:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Sunday.
