PRINEVILLE, Oregon --A free clinic that focuses on the challenges and rewards of Mustang horse ownership is scheduled for May 4, 5, & 6 in Prineville. “Teaching & Achieving Mustang Excellence” (TAME) will feature professional horse trainers Clint Surplus and Matt Fournier.
The trainers will work with adopted wild horses on specific training issues, allowing spectators an opportunity to observe training solutions.
Previously adopted Mustangs will demonstrate the level of success a wild horse can achieve through proper training. This free clinic will be held at the Crook County Fairgrounds Indoor Arena from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Friday & Saturday, and from 8:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Sunday.
This event is sponsored by the Bureau of Land Management, the Ochoco National Forest and the Central Oregon Wild Horse Coalition. For more information, contact Bill Pieratt at (541) 416-6720.
