ORLANDO, Fla. - A Florida mother accused of putting her baby in an oven and turning it on was sentenced to two years probation under a plea bargain.
Sharlyn Singh, 29 WKMG reported that the baby's uncle told police in January that he was helping his brother move out of Singh's apartment when he heard crying and found the baby in the oven. Orange County Circuit Court Judge Lisa Munyon said she accepted the plea bargain reluctantly. "I can tell you my perspective. If she really did this in the way it was described, she should go to prison," Munyon said in the WKMG report.
