Free summer series to be held at Meadows Golf Course

Sunriver Resort, a Destination Hotels & Resorts property, will be bringing guests and community members together with “Summer Concerts on the Green.” The free, family-friendly concerts will take place from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. on five consecutive Wednesday nights, July 12 to August 9 at the Meadows Golf Course Driving Range.

Curves Ahead (formerly The David Finch Trio with Susan Benson), a jazz/sophisticated groove band, will get the series started on July 12. The remainder of the lineup is as follows:

• July 19 — Betty Berger Big Band, a 12-piece band featuring music from the 1940s and 1950s.

• July 26 — Brian Hanson & the Badland Patrol, a country music band.

• Aug. 2 — Quincy Street, an acoustic bluegrass and folk band.

• Aug. 9 — St. James Gate, which plays an array of Irish music.

Concert-goers can bring low-profile lawn chairs and blankets, while vendors will be selling food and beverages. All concerts are weather dependent.
