Registration for the class of 2020 beings Monday

If your child will be five years old on or before September 1, it is time to register for kindergarten classes.  Registration at your neighborhood elementary school for the graduating class of 2020 will begin on Monday, April 23.  

Kindergarten is an integral part of the total educational program of your new student. The kindergarten program is designed to encourage and support children's social, emotional, physical and cognitive development. It provides children with opportunities to develop a positive self-image and the social and cognitive skills necessary for later learning.

The following documents are needed to register your child:

• Birth Certificate
• Current Immunization Records
• Social Security Number

Each school has additional information on registration procedures.  Parents who seek early entrance consideration for their children should inquire at their neighborhood school regarding the application process. 

If you are not sure what school your child will be attending, please contact any elementary school, District Office or Transportation Department.  Attendance boundary information can also be accessed on our website at www.redmond.k12.or.us.
