Predatory Sex Offender Back in Custody

Local authorities announced Tuesday that a dangerous sex offender who absconded from Deschutes County Parole & Probation supervision on July 4th is back in custody. On July 19th, the same day a statewide alert was issued for the recapture of David Hunter, he was located at a Portland mission and taken into custody.
David Hunter Live on camera, the reporter located Hunter, spoke with him, and phoned 9-1-1 to summon officers. Hunter will face a hearing on parole violations, and may also face new charges for failure to register as a sex offender in the Portland area. Hunter is on post-prison supervision for Sexual Abuse & Sexual Penetration charges, and is on probation for Prostitution charges. Considered extremely dangerous to male or female minors age 1 – 17, he is known to befriend young victims and their families prior to molestation, and to proposition strangers for sexual acts. |
