Two boys, ages 14 and 17, and a woman were arrested last week in Bend in connection with the murder of a 60-year old man in Golden Valley, Arizona.

Bend Police officers were notified on Thursday that two teenagers suspected in the May 5^th shooting of Mark Samson Hall in Mohave County were in the Bend area, said Sgt. Paul Kansky.  They were given a general description of a van the boys were thought to be in, and shortly before 2 p.m. located the van in the south area of Bend.

Officers performed a high-risk traffic stop on the van at SE Reed Lane near Third Street.  The van was occupied by seven people including the murder suspects, Kansky said. 

14-year-old Cody R. Simons and 17-year-old Travis Lee Smith, both of Golden Valley, were taken into custody without incident and are being held on first-degree murder charges from the Mohave County Sheriff’s Office.

Police also arrested 37-year old Golden Valley resident Tammy Sue Smith, who was lodged at the Deschutes County Jail and faces Mohave County felony charges for hindering prosecution related to the murder of Hall.
