BEND CITY POLICE BLOTTER

During the week, there were 3 reports of stolen bicycles with an estimated value of $1,400. All 3 bikes were unlocked. DUII arrests totaled 7, and there were 14 Warrant arrests made.

§         7/19. A convicted felon was arrested for unlawful use of a weapon when he threatened two women with a bayonet.

§         7/21. A Bend woman was arrested for second degree Child Neglct when officers responded to a noise complaint at a residence on SE McKinley. She was found intoxicated and suicidal, and her son had been left unattended.

§         7/21. A CD/DVD player worth $649 was stolen from AudioWerks during business hours.

§         7/21. A Bend man was arrested for DUII and his car impounded after leaving Shanghai Gardens. He said, “I’m buzzed, a little buzzed” when asked to describe the effects of the alcohol.

§         7/21. A visitor from British Columbia reported $500 in damage to her BMW when someone keyed her car door & quarter panel.

§         7/22. A man reported someone entered his unlocked home on NE Penn and stole his bike, cash, laptop, and Ipod – valued at $6,895.

§         7/25. Deschutes Memorial Gardens reported destroyed flower beds and graffiti on a mausoleum. Beer cans were found near where teenagers had been skateboarding.

§         7/24. Oregon Tool & Equipment Repair reported the glass front door to their business was broken. The cash register plus $300 in currency was missing.
