DALLAS - Prosecutor-turned-crime writer Vincent Bugliosi says he has debunked every conspiracy theory on the Kennedy assassination in Dallas.

Bugliosi, who became famous prosecuting Charles Manson and his followers and then writing about the case, began "Reclaiming History: The Assassination of President John F. Kennedy" 20 years ago and has worked 70 to 90 hours a week on the book for eight years, The Dallas Morning News reported.

"No reasonable, rational person -- and let's italicize those words -- can possibly read this book and not be satisfied beyond all reasonable doubt that Oswald killed Kennedy and acted alone," he told the newspaper. "So the vast majority of reasonable conspiracy theorists are going to be swayed by this book. But those on the jagged margins of the conspiracy community are allergic to the truth, and they will not agree with this book."

A 2003 Gallup poll found 75 percent of the U.S. public believes there was some sort of conspiracy. Only 19 percent said they accept the findings of the Warren Commission.
