Oregon State Police detectives say that toxicology reports will likely confirm the cause of death of a man found dead in the bushes near Interstate-5 in the Woodburn area Friday night, suspected of being drug-related.

Shortly before 11 p.m., a transient found the 54-year old man in the bushes east of the southbound exit 271 offramp of Interstate-5, police reported.  There was no sign of trauma or injury, and evidence of drug use was present, according to an OSP news release.

The man has been identified, but his name is being withheld pending notification of family members.  Troopers have been unable to determine if the deceased had a permanent residence.

Anyone with information regarding the investigation is asked to contact OSP Detective Dave Steele at (503) 378-3387.
