Missing boy, 7, found safe east of Bend

A seven-year-old boy who went missing last evening while riding a motorcycle with his family about a mile from their campground off China Hat Road about 25 miles east of Bend was found this morning shortly after 7 a.m., safe and sound.
“The child appeared to be in good health,” Beard said.
Otterbach, vanished last night about 8:30 p.m., and Deschutes County Sheriff’s deputies and members of the Search and Rescue team were called to the area about 10 p.m.
Beard said that the Deschutes County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by several other agencies and groups that were either on scene or enroute to help, including the Jefferson, Crook, Klamath and Lake County Sheriff’s Offices; the United States Forest Service; Bureau of Land Management; Oregon National Guard; Civil Air Patrol; Oregon Emergency Management; HAM Radio Operators and the OHV Club volunteers.
