A 911 caller who reported a man with a gun – possibly a pellet gun – in a car across from a Bend elementary school prompted a brief lockdown Wednesday afternoon while police investigated.
Officers were able to speak with the reporting person, but the suspect or suspect vehicle were not located during a search of the area, the lieutenant said. “At this time there is no crime and the school was in lockdown only as a precaution,” Gregory wrote in a news release.
