MOGADISHU, Somalia - Explosions just minutes apart Friday in Somalia's capital of Mogadishu prompted authorities to cordon off part of the city to search for suspects.
Authorities said two of the blasts were caused by roadside bombs aimed at Somali government forces and their Ethiopian allies, The Shabelle Media Network reported.
A third explosion occurred on the road to the city's international airport. Unconfirmed reports said at least three people were killed in that blast.
Injuries were reported in the attack on the Ethiopian military convoy and area residents said the explosion that hit a Somali police convoy wounded two officers.
Friday's attacks occurred while Ethiopian and Somali forces were carrying out search operations in Mogadishu.
