Two men arrested in Prineville burglary

Two young men were arrested early Friday and charged with second-degree burglary after deputies saw them running across the street carrying property allegedly stolen from a nearby garage.

Abel Carrillo, 21, of Prineville, and 19-year old David Brito of Madras were taken into custody and lodged in the Crook County Jail about 12:40 a.m. June, 15, Sgt. Russ Wright reported in a news release.

Crook County Sheriff’s deputies stopped the men after they were seen running across South Main Street near SW Fourth Avenue, carrying household property.  Investigators believe the men had just entered a garage at 193 SW Fourth Street.

Carrillo and Brito were charged with second-degree burglary, the Sgt. said.
