ORLANDO, Fla. - A Florida couple faces charges after they allegedly left their toddler in the hot sun for nearly an hour while they were on a ride at Walt Disney World.

Juan Carlos and Danette Rodriguez were released on bail Sunday after their 3-year-old daughter was found unconscious in her stroller parked outside the Pirates of the Caribbean ride.

The child was taken inside and revived by paramedics, but the Orlando Sentinel said an incident report released Monday by the Orange County Sheriff's Department said the youngster "was nearing signs of heat exhaustion.

The Rodriguezes told authorities they had somehow become separated from their daughter as they made their way toward the ride with three other kids. They said they each had thought the other was tending their daughter.

The couple's kids were placed with relatives pending the outcome of the investigation, the Sentinel said.
