Clackamas County Sheriff’s deputies are searching for a man wanted in connection with the stabbing of a Milwaukie man near High Rocks on the Clackamas River Friday afternoon.

According to a news release, the high temperatures, two allegedly intoxicated men, and a verbal argument led to the incident about 5 p.m., July 6.

The victim, 24-year old Jason Bills, was taken to Willamette Falls Hospital where he received 19 stitches for his wound.  Deputies then learned Bills had an outstanding warrant for violation of probation on an original charge of fourth-degree assault, and he was arrested and lodged in the Clackamas County Jail

By the time deputies arrived on scene, the suspect – described only as a six-foot tall bald white male – had fled the scene.  Deputies, Gladstone and Oregon City police officers canvassed the area but were unable to locate the suspect.

Investigators encourage anyone with information regarding the suspect or the incident to contact the Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office.
