JERUSALEM -- Israel and Syria are wary of each other's recent actions along the border they share, it was reported Saturday.
Israel is "concerned" that Syria's decision to remove longtime military checkpoints on the Syrian side of the Golan Heights could be a preparation for war, the Jerusalem Post reported.
Syria, meanwhile, is concerned about Israel conducting military maneuvers on the Golan Heights and moving bulldozers and tanks into 70 outposts throughout the Heights, the newspaper said.
Israeli Foreign Minister Tzipi Livni said the troops were conducting routine exercises and nothing more.
