Bodies of 12 Baghdad Pepsi workers found

BAGHDAD - Police in Baghdad said Monday they located the bodies of 12 employees of a Pepsi-Cola bottling plant who were abducted a day earlier.

There was no information on the fate of another nine employees taken from the suburban bottling and distribution plant, CNN reported.

Elsewhere, at least 12 people were killed and more than 30 injured in various attacks around the city, Iraqi Interior Ministry officials said.

In one attack, two bombs exploded near a crowded bus station in central Baghdad, killing three civilians and a police officer. Police said 21 others were injured.

In northern Baghdad, gunmen opened fire on a police patrol, killing three officers and injuring four others, a correspondent for Kuwait's KUNA news agency reported.

In the central Karrada district, a car bomb killed four people and injured 12 civilians, police said.
