BOGOTA -- Colombian rebels said Monday they would turn over the bodies of 11 lawmakers allegedly killed by crossfire between rebels and military troops.

The Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia, or FARC, said the state lawmakers were killed in June during a military raid on the camp where they were being held, a notion the government denied, El Tiempo newspaper reported online.

FARC has been fighting the Colombian government for four decades and is considered a terrorist organization by the U.S. State Department and the Colombian government.
