Central Oregon Community Action Agency Network (COCAAN) has announced they will unveil a new name that better suits one of the largest local social service organizations in Central Oregon during their upcoming 21st Anniversary Celebration.  The agency has grown from a small non-profit to an organization with over 15 offices, last year providing over 100,000 different services to local residents.

The new name will be unveiled during the 21st Anniversary Celebration to be held at 6 p.m. September 13 at the Tower Theater.  The event will bring critical attention to the growing need for support services for people who are struggling with affordability issues, and will feature a video depicting the changes in the community over the past twenty years as well as COCAAN’s responsiveness to these changes.  Brand Navigation will present the branding process, as well as the new name and look.  The evening will culminate in Sharon Miller, COCAAN’s Executive Director, speaking about the vision and challenges ahead for Central Oregon and the organization.

Donors, stakeholders, employees and state and community leaders will be attending the event.  Cocktails and hors d’ oeuvres will be provided by Bendistillery and Cork.

If you would like to attend, call 548-2380.  Seats must be reserved in advance on a first come, first served basis.
