CARACAS, Venezuela -- Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez has warned foreign critics of his administration not to voice their opinions or face expulsion from the country.

"No foreigner ... can come here and attack us," said Chavez during his weekly television address, El Universal reported Monday.

The declaration by the leftist president came just weeks after Chavez forced a leading TV and radio station off the air for making critical remarks about his government.

Since then, Venezuela's RCTV has since returned to broadcasting, though on a cable channel.
