Skull Rollers vs Wicked Pussycats to benefit COBRA The Renegade Rollergirls will hold their first indoor bout September 16 to launch the new central Oregon roller derby league. The Wicked Pussycats will battle it out against the Skull Rollers at 7 p.m. A portion of ticket sales will benefit Central Oregon Battery & Rape Alliance (COBRA), a shelter that supports victims of domestic violence. Families and all ages are welcome.
Their Renegade predecessors in Arizona formed their league in the summer of 2004 from a group of the top skaters in Arizona. The league prides itself on high ethical procedures, organizational structure, and all-around skater well being. Along with the Arizona league and a second sister league in San Diego, the Bend league wishes to pursue the same goals and visions of reviving the sport of roller derby.
