Deschutes County Sheriff’s detectives are asking the public’s help in identifying a person suspected of breaking a window into the Thriftway Market in Terrebonne and stealing an ATM machine early Monday morning.  A $1,000 reward is offered.
Deputies responded to a report of a broken window at the market located at 8431 N. Highway 97 about 2:20 a.m., August 6, Lt. Kevin Dizney said.
During an investigation, deputies found that a video surveillance camera inside the store recorded the burglary, showing a single suspect take the ATM out the broken window and drive away in an older model (possibly 1980s) Chevrolet S-10 or similar make and model pickup.  The vehicle is possible blue over white with unknown license plates, Dizney reported.
“Anyone with information is encouraged to contact the Deschutes County Sheriff’s Office Detective’s division at 322-4808 during business hours or the Deschutes County 911 Dispatch Center at 693-6911 on nights and weekends,” the lieutenant wrote in a news release.
A reward of up to $1000 for information leading to the arrest and filing of charges is offered through Crime Stoppers of Central Oregon.  Dizney said anyone wishing to provide information can remain anonymous.
