Detectives seek help to ID Terrebonne ATM burglar

Deschutes County Sheriff’s detectives are asking the public’s help in identifying a person suspected of breaking a window into the Thriftway Market in Terrebonne and stealing an ATM machine early Monday morning. A $1,000 reward is offered.Deputies responded to a report of a broken window at the market located at 8431 N. Highway 97 about 2:20 a.m., August 6, Lt. Kevin Dizney said. During an investigation, deputies found that a video surveillance camera inside the store recorded the burglary, showing a single suspect take the ATM out the broken window and drive away in an older model (possibly 1980s) Chevrolet S-10 or similar make and model pickup. The vehicle is possible blue over white with unknown license plates, Dizney reported. A reward of up to $1000 for information leading to the arrest and filing of charges is offered through Crime Stoppers of Central Oregon. Dizney said anyone wishing to provide information can remain anonymous. |
