State Representative Chuck Burley (R-Bend) continues to serve as vice-chair on the House Energy and Environment Committee and is newly appointed to serve on the House Business and Labor Committee during the 2007-2008 Legislative Interim.

“It is an honor to continue to serve as vice-chair on the House Energy and Environment Committee and I am pleased to have the opportunity to serve on the House Business and Labor Committee during the interim as these are both critical areas of interest to Central Oregon as well as the entire state,” Burley said after his appointment.

With a special session scheduled to take place in February 2008, it will be instrumental to spend the next few months meeting with local organizations, businesses, community leaders, and constituents. “Collaboratively, we can identify the most critical issues facing Central Oregon to focus on during the special session and in the 2009 Legislative Session,” Burley continued.
