BEIRUT, Lebanon -- Violence between the Lebanese Army and what is left of the Fatah Al-Islam militia reportedly escalated Friday at a Palestinian refugee camp in Lebanon.
Security sources told the Kuwait News Agency, KUNA, that heavy weapons and machine guns were used in clashes between the two sides at the Nahr El-Bared camp in North Lebanon.
However, the sources also said the army had gained control of several buildings and had a helicopter flying over the camp to help in the effort.
