The Humane Society of Central Oregon needs the communities help in providing premium kitten, puppy, adult dog and cat food to feed the 158 animals currently in our shelter and foster homes.  The shelter cares for nearly 5,000 animals each year, and asks the public's assistance in the feeding of these homeless animals.

The Humane Society of Central Oregon needs premium dry food for kittens, puppies, adult dogs and cats.  The animals require the best possible nutrition and the shelter prefers brands like Nutro, Iams, California Natural, Pro Plan or similar products.

Other items needed are chicken or turkey-based canned cat food and kitten milk replacer (KMR).  The small animals need rat, gerbil and hamster food, and care-fresh bedding.

The shelter relies upon the generosity of the community to help save precious lives, and reminds reisents that donations are tax-deductible.  Donations can be dropped-off at the Humane Society of Central Oregon’s Animal Shelter, Thrift Store (5th and Greenwood) or Bend Pet Express West or East.

For more information call the Humane Society of Central Oregon at 541.382.3537.  The animal shelter is located at 61170 SE 27th Street, just south of Reed Market in Bend, Oregon.
