Vandals damaged at least six vehicles with large lava rocks in northeast Bend Monday night through Tuesday morning, the latest reported incidents in a string of similar criminal mischief that occurred over the past week, authorities said. 

Officers of the Bend Police Department responded to six reported incidents beginning at 9 p.m. Monday, and expect additional victims to come forward in coming days.

According to Lt. Cory Darling, the rocks, most likely thrown from a moving vehicle, shattered numerous windows and caused body damage to the victims’ autos.
