Investigation into death of Prineville woman continues

An investigation into the death of a 44-year old Prineville woman is being conducted by the Prineville Police Department and Crook County District Attorney, authorities reported.

Police responded to 3212 NE Yellowpine Road shortly before 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, September 22, where the body of Gerie Lyn Dixon was found.

Dixon, a resident of 603 NE Garner Street in Prineville, had no apparent signs of trauma, Chief Eric Bush said. The cause of death remains under investigation.
