According to a news release issued by Chief Eric Bush, Michael Shawn Koontz was taken into custody and lodged in the Crook County Jail with bail set at $35,000.  Koontz is charged with two counts each of second-degree burglary, first-degree theft, first-degree criminal mischief, and possession of stolen property.

“Working on tips, officers were able to locate and interview Koontz,” Bush said.

The two break-ins at the board shop at 172 NW 4th Street occurred September 14 and October 7, the chief reported.
