RAWALPINDI, Pakistan -- A suicide bomber set off a blast Tuesday in the former capital of Pakistan, killing seven people including three Pakistani policemen, Geo TV reported.

Other reports said the blast occurred in Rawalpindi near an area where Pakistani President Pervez Musharraf has an office but the leader apparently wasn't harmed. Rawalpindi was the capital of Pakistan before nearby Islamabad took its place and the old city is now largely a garrison headquarters.

The GEO TV report, quoting Interior Ministry spokesman Javed Iqbal Cheema, said the head of suicide attacker, believed to be between 19 and 23 years old, had been found.

Cheema put the death toll at seven with three policemen among the dead, the report said.

In a separate report, GEO TV said a high-level meeting led by Musharraf was under way in Rawalpindi, attended by provincial governors, chief ministers and other top officials but it made no mention of the bomb attack.
