Motion Design is a maturing art form that bridges Design and Animation in the service of communication. Kinetic Communique is an exhibit that explores the vast sub genres of Motion Design and the many applications of its form. As more content delivery methods are developed into the future, Motion Design is quickly becoming a much larger form of communication in our everyday lives.

Intro to Leather Tooling: Earrings
Learn the basics behind tooled leather earrings! In this class, students will learn how to prep, design, paint and seal their works. There will be some stencils provided and students are more than welcome to bring their own ideas and inspiration.

Intro to Wood Lathe – Spindle Turning
Learn the basics of the wood lathe, one of the most popular tools in the wood shop. In this class students will create an object from beginning to end which involves mounting a wood blank to the lathe, rounding, shaping, sanding, and finishing. Objects that are made in this class are selected by the instructor and may include, bottle openers, bud vases, candlestick holders or other objects that can be used around the home, given as fun hand made gifts, or stand alone as pieces of art. Cyclist Deceased Following Collision in Parkrose Neighborhood
One cyclist is deceased following a collision with a vehicle in the Parkrose Neighborhood.
On Monday, October 21, 2024, at approximately 9:00 a.m., North Precinct officers responded to reports of a collision between a cyclist and a vehicle in the area of Northeast 105th Avenue and Northeast Marx Street. Responding medics pronounced the adult male cyclist deceased at the scene. The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and is cooperating with the investigation.

Man Deceased After Hit And Run, Major Crash Team Responding
On Monday, October 21, 2024, at 2:37 a.m., officers from the East Precinct responded to reports of a bicyclist struck by a vehicle near the intersection of Southeast 128th Avenue and Southeast Glisan Street.
