Men & Women 18+
Anyone can catch air! It’s LANDING that’s trickier… Learning to jump on a mountain bike is no joke. Things can go wrong quickly if you don’t have a proper understanding of how to take off, stay balanced in the air and land the bike safely. We’ll start by practicing fundamental skills in grass that lead to jumping, (like body position, timing and wheel lifts) then take it to small jumps to dial in your air-time. We start small and teach you to land on top first. If you’re not ready to fly to the landing, no big deal. The great thing about these sessions is you can take it as far as you want. If you just want to learn how to take off and land on top of the tabletop jump, that’s fine, you can end there and watch others, or you can take it all the way to the landing.
– Slow and basic progression. Participants will move through progressions depending on their readiness.
- Pads and full face helmets recommended especially for 2nd and 3rd sessions.
– Participants should already have a strong intermediate skill set and at least 2 seasons of MTB riding.
